Job Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for an 8-week travel assignment in Las Cruces, NM. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs, performing wound care, and assisting with daily living activities
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with care plans
- Accurately document patient information in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Assist physicians and RNs during examinations and medical procedures
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
- Ensure adherence to infection control standards, safety protocols, and healthcare regulations
- Respond promptly to patient needs and changes in condition
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in New Mexico or Compact License (Required)
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification (Required)
- Experience with EMR systems and clinical documentation
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
