Lake Regional Health System is looking for an outgoing, professional Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Medical Assistant (MA) to join our team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Escort patients to exam room and document chief complaints • Document patient care in the electronic medical record • Assist physician and/or nurse practitioner by providing assessment, treatment, testing, and education for the patients in the practice • Greet patients warmly and respectfully, demonstrating compassion • Responds in a timely manner and keeps patients informed while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all privacy and protected health regulations • Assist physician/nurse practitioner with in-clinic procedures

Qualifications/Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required for this role. Graduated from an accredited Practical Nursing Program - New Grads Welcome! Missouri LPN License required. Previous medical office experience, including lab draws, is desired.

MA Qualifications:

Graduated from an accredited Medical Assisting program or has worked as a Medical Assistant in a clinic setting for at least 3-5 years. You will be required to test for credentials within 90 days from hire date using one of the approved credentialing bodies:

• American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) / Website: www.aama-ntl.org • American Medical Technologists (AMT) / Website: www.americanmedtech.org • National Healthcareer Association (NHA) / Website: www.nhanow.com • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) / Website: www.nahpusa.com • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) / Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) / Certified Clinic Medical Assistant (CCMA) credentials desired Additional certifications may be required for this position and will be coordinated by Lake Regional as a part of your ongoing training and development.
