Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to support the VA Hudson Valley Healthcare System. Locations include the Montrose VA Medical Center (2094 Albany Post Road, Montrose, NY) and Castle Point VA Medical Center (41 Castle Point Road, Wappingers Falls, NY). Multiple shift schedules are available. Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care under RN/physician supervision
  • Take and record vital signs
  • Assist with patient hygiene, mobility, and daily living needs
  • Monitor patient condition and report changes promptly
  • Perform wound care and dressing changes (within LPN scope)
  • Administer medications as permitted by state law and VA policy
  • Assist with treatments and procedures as directed
  • Accurately document care in the VA electronic health record
  • Maintain timely and complete patient records
  • Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Follow all VA policies, procedures, and clinical protocols
  • Support inpatient and outpatient units experiencing staffing shortages
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment
  • Follow infection control and patient safety standards
  • Respond to emergencies within scope of practice
  • Provide customer‑service‑oriented care to Veterans and families

Qualifications

  • Education: Graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the appropriate State agency and/or accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) at the time the program was completed by the applicant.
  • Has been actively practicing as an LPN for at least two years within the past three years
  • Is capable of providing nursing care for adult medical and surgical patients
  • Has and maintains current AHA BLS certification
  • Has no health or physical disability restrictions that interfere with the performance of assigned duties
  • Has documented training and skills verification
  • No sponsorship available 
Position Pays: $36 - $41.09/hr

All candidates must be able to:

  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift
  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist
  • Lift up to 20 lbs
  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance
  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
