Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Position Overview
We are seeking dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to support Med/Surg and Emergency Department (ED) units in a dynamic acute care setting. Unit placement will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and clinical background.
Shift Details
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in an acute care environment under RN supervision
- Perform routine nursing tasks including vital signs, patient assessments, and documentation
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians during procedures
- Administer injections and assist with clinical procedures such as pap smears
- Set up and maintain exam rooms and clinical areas
- Perform EKGs, IV insertions, and phlebotomy (as applicable)
- Monitor and report patient responses to treatments
- Assist with patient flow, scheduling, chart preparation, and general administrative duties
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Support unit operations and participate in nursing unit activities
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State LPN License
- Minimum 1 year of LPN experience
- Current CPR certification (or ability to obtain/renew)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Capability to perform patient care with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior inpatient hospital experience
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
- Skills in:
- Phlebotomy
- IV insertion
- EKG application
