Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse – Long Term Care
Location: Thorp, WI
Duration: 13 Weeks (High Possibility of Extension)
Shift: Variable Shifts – Days/Evenings
Schedule: 5x8-Hour Shifts | Potential 16-Hour Shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend (EOW)
Compensation:
- Weekly Pay: $1,500 – $1,764 (based on experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide compassionate and skilled nursing care within a Long Term Care and Rehabilitation setting. The ideal candidate will be flexible with scheduling, capable of working variable day and evening shifts, and committed to delivering high-quality resident-centered care in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a Long Term Care/Rehabilitation setting
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and report significant changes appropriately
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) and support individualized care plans
- Collaborate with Registered Nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and charting
- Support a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for residents and staff
- Float between day and evening shifts based on operational needs
- Work flexible scheduling patterns including potential 16-hour shifts
Qualifications:
- Previous LPN experience in Long Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) required
- Strong patient care, communication, and teamwork skills required
- Ability to work flexible day/evening schedules and every other weekend required
- Dependable, organized, and able to work independently within scope of practice
Required Education:
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program
Required Certifications & Licensure:
- Active Wisconsin LPN license or Compact LPN license required
- Current BLS Certification required (AHA preferred)
