Responsibilities Receives referrals from throughout the community, which includes but is not limited to the following:
• Hospitals • First responders • Jails • Attorneys • Mobile crisis outreach • Community services • CCBHC services • And so on.
Provides direct Community-Based in the field mental health assessments, intervention, and consultation to individuals identified by the court system as in need of a potential involuntary commitment.
Evaluates each client for diagnosis, recommends appropriate service, including interviewing client and accompanying family or friends, providing crisis intervention, arriving at recommendation.
Interacts with patients, family, and support systems to reduce barriers and promote progression of care. Provides assessment, counseling, information, and referral, advocacy services, and other resource assistance as indicated.
Provides direct mental health services to identified individuals incarcerated within a county jail in the service region.
Provides assistance with linkage to necessary resources in the community, entitlements, employers, housing, etc.
Qualifications Education Requires a masters degree in a behavioral healthcare services-related field.
Licenses Certifications Provisional or independent licensure in Illinois or Iowa with the ability to obtain licensure in the second state within 4 months of hire.
LMSW - Licensed Master Social Worker Provisional License for IL LSW - Licensed Social Worker Provisional License for IL LCSW - Licensed Clinical Social Worker Independent License for IL ISW - Licensed Independent Social Worker Independent License in IA
Valid drivers license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
