Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Counselor


Real House Behavioral Health Services is seeking a compassionate, experienced, and motivated Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time, in-person role. This position provides counseling, case management, and clinical support services to individuals participating in behavioral health and recovery programs throughout New Jersey.


The ideal candidate is passionate about helping individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges and thrives in a collaborative, client-centered environment.


Position Type

  • Monday – Friday Schedule
  • Some evenings or flexibility may be required based on program needs
Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group counseling services to clients
  • Conduct assessments, evaluations, and treatment planning
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
  • Monitor client progress and coordinate appropriate interventions
  • Collaborate with clinical staff, case managers, and program leadership
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and discharge planning
  • Provide crisis intervention and support when necessary
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, licensing standards, and Company policies
  • Participate in required trainings and professional development activities
Qualifications


  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field required
  • Active New Jersey license required (LAC, LPC, LSW, LCSW, or LCADC preferred)
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in mental health, behavioral health, or substance abuse treatment preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Requirements


  • Successful completion of criminal background check
  • Drug and alcohol screening
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Valid driver’s license preferred
  • Ability to comply with all Company policies, procedures, and training requirements
