Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) – Bilingual Russian

• Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited program
• Active New York State license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
• New graduates are welcome to apply
• Bilingual in Russian (required)
• Proficient in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, applying evidence-based modalities (CBT, DBT, MI, etc.), and maintaining electronic health records
• Strong active listening and empathy, excellent verbal and written communication, cultural competence, patience, a nonjudgmental attitude, and the ability to collaborate with other providers

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, including clinical interviews, psychosocial histories, and mental status examinations
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, diagnoses, and goals
• Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy using evidence-based modalities appropriate for the patient population
• Diagnose mental health disorders per DSM-5 criteria and coordinate care with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, primary care physicians, and other providers
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, coping strategies, treatment options, and community resources
• Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely clinical documentation in electronic health records, in compliance with regulatory and ethical standards
• Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and provide crisis intervention when appropriate
• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and quality improvement initiatives
• Stay current with best practices, continuing education, and licensure renewal obligations
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and New York State regulations
