Skill requirements

• 3+ years of consistent hands-on experience as an LMT. You have worked in an environment where you have already honed your craft and you are ready to start taking clients right away. 
• Therapists with higher level training in clinical or orthopedic techniques
• Therapists who takes pride in delivering consistent therapeutic sessions and feel confident guiding, educating, and re-booking clients
• At least one day of weekend availability
• If you’re not already trained in medical massage, we will provide 16 hours of training during your first two months, at no cost to you

• Confidence, competence, and ability to explain your techniques and results to clients

• Confidence with A&P and willingness to give clients home care instructions to support their progress.  

• Clinical background or experience is a PLUS

• Cupping, IASTM (Guasha/Graston) and Kinesio taping experience is a plus, certifications even more so. 

• A marketable skill or specialty to promote for you. 

• Physical ability to perform several deep tissue massages with consistency.

• Your schedule can be set to certain number of appointments per day. 

• SOAP notes or brief client notes are required for each session. 

General Requirements:

• Current Florida Massage license and 3 years of working experience as an LMT

• Current liability insurance

• Current with CEUs and an ideal candidate will have additional certifications in an additional specialty or two 

• Clean background- references and records will be checked. 

• Reliable transportation and cell service with internet as our systems are digital. We use online booking systems with text/email notifications. 

• Required training/orientation on office systems will be paid at a flat rate. 

• Willingness to learn and use Solely office systems/protocols that assure a consistent client experience- no matter which therapist they see. 

• Professional appearance- tattoos are ok. Solely shirts are provided. 

• Motivation and drive to participate in marketing yourself. 

Additional office duties include- 

• Light administrative work like checking clients in and out, on-site laundry and helping assure office cleanliness and presentation.  

• Therapists are responsible for keeping their workspace sanitized and for opening and/or closing the office depending on schedules.

About us: 

Solely Therapeutic Massage opened in 2012 and has grown to our current 3400 sq ft.wellness center with 6 treatment rooms in the heart of St. Petersburg just 5 miles from downtown. All of our therapists have received advanced training in medical massage and/or other specialties. 

We offer therapeutic and integrative bodywork, specialty services and support our therapists’ success with partial reimbursement for CEUs after 6 months, training materials, and opportunity to train one on one. All supplies are provided so you can focus Solely on the clients. We will help you track your growth, retention, and offer complementary coaching you in any areas needed.

Compensation 

• This position is as a w2 employee position.   
• Compensation is 40% service totals + gratuities.
