Immediate need for a talented Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) specializing in Psych-Oncology. Key Responsibilities: Shift: 8-hour Day Shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM), Monday through Friday Duration: 8 weeks (05/18/2026 – 07/11/2026) Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week Overtime: Daily OT after 24 hours (based on multiplier); Weekly OT after 40 hours (based on multiplier) On-Call: No Provide psychosocial assessments for oncology patients across the continuum of care Offer individual and family counseling to address coping, adjustment, and mental health needs related to cancer Identify and address barriers to care including financial, transportation, housing, and medication access Coordinate with interdisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, case managers, and chaplains Facilitate support groups and provide crisis intervention as needed Assist patients with advance care planning and end-of-life discussions Connect patients and families with community resources and support services Document all assessments, interventions, and care coordination in the EMR Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and team meetings Provide education to patients and families on psychosocial aspects of cancer care Advocate for patient needs and preferences throughout treatment Candidate Type: Travel Only Local candidates within 50 miles will not be considered Location: Atlanta, Georgia (specific facility details provided upon interview) Department: Psych-Oncology Services Patient Population: Oncology patients and their families Key Requirements and Technology Experience: Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program Active Georgia LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) license AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) – **required Oncology Social Work certification (OSW-C) – preferred Minimum 2 years of recent experience within Psych-Oncology specialty Hospital-based experience – required Minimum 1 year of experience in oncology specifically – required Experience with individual and family counseling in medical settings Experience with crisis intervention and end-of-life support Strong psychosocial assessment and therapeutic counseling skills Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration abilities Knowledge of community resources and referral processes Ability to work independently in a fast-paced hospital environment Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care Proficiency in EMR documentation Our client is a leading Healthcare Industry, and we are currently interviewing to fill this and other similar contract positions.
