We are seeking a compassionate, mission-driven Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor to join one of our growing community health centers in San Diego. Reporting to the Chief Behavioral Health Officer, you’ll provide individual, family, and group therapy while conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and supporting patients through evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working with a diverse caseload, including low-income and geriatric populations, and can adapt to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Experience working with adolescents and adults is welcome, with a primary focus on adult care. Bilingual clinicians are strongly encouraged to apply, and clinicians with experience beyond initial licensure are especially valued.
This role offers two potential clinical pathways:
FQHC Level – Mild to Moderate Care
1-hour intakes
30-minute adult sessions; 45-minute sessions for children
~12 patients per day
Monthly visits rather than weekly
High need for clinicians experienced with children ages 5–10
CCBHC Level – Moderate to Severe Care
Weekly therapy sessions, 45 minutes each
Average of 9 sessions per day
Priority for therapists with expertise in pregnant and postpartum patients
This role is ideal for clinicians who value cultural humility, continuity, and providing equitable access to behavioral health services.
