The Library Associate, Digital Production position works in the Digital Scholarship & Initiatives Department of the User Services & Library IT Division of Tulane University Libraries. Under the direction of the Digital Production Coordinator, this position hires, trains, and supervises student workers. The Library Associate also oversees the student workers' budget throughout the calendar year. This position creates and manages metadata, digitizes analog source materials, and ingests materials into the Tulane University Digital Library. The Library Associate cross-trains on repository software platforms in use, including but not limited to Alma Digital and Open Journal Systems. This position ensures quality control and stewardship of digitized materials and working documents.

Bachelor''s Degree

OR

High School Diploma (or Equivalent) and 6 years of directly related work experience

Preferred Qualification:

Experience digitizing analog materials

Knowledge of metadata schemas (MODS, Dublin Core)

Self-starter, ability to work with moderate supervision

Knowledge of controlled vocabulary (Library of Congress, TGM)
