The University of New Mexico College of University Libraries & Learning Sciences (UL&LS) seeks motivated and highly-engaged student employees interested in a challenging and dynamic customer service work environment. Library Assistants are the first point of contact most patrons have with the University Libraries system and assist with most day-to-day duties associated with library operations.
Student assistants work with University Libraries staff and students in a team environment to:
Assist student, faculty, and community patrons with using library materials.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently while taking on increasing responsibilities. This role offers valuable benefits, including the opportunity to develop research skills that support academic success in college, receive mentorship and guidance from library staff, and enhance professional abilities in interpersonal communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
Applicants must be capable of working within a team environment. All UL&LS student employees are employed on a term basis for the current/impending school year.
