Summary
Duties and Responsibilities:
Catalogs all holdings of the Bexar County Law Library
Creates new accounts for the legal research computer and photocopying service customers
Provides new users with familiarization training in legal research software
Posts charges to accounts for photocopying service and for utilization of the legal research computer
Verifies daily cash receipts for photocopying service
Prepares and issues monthly billing statements for research computer utilization and photocopying service
Receives payments for photocopying service and legal research computer accounts
Deposits cash and account payments received
Monitors delinquent accounts
May perform the duties of Copy Machine Operator or Receptionist in their absence
Performs other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
High School or General Education Development (GED) certificate supplemented by course work in bookkeeping or accounting, and two (2) years' experience in account management or bookkeeping; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of accounting procedures
Skill in performing basic mathematical calculations; skill in utilizing accounting software; skill in operating personal computer and 10-key adding machine
Ability to maintain accounts accurately; ability to communicate verbally and effectively; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, other County employees, outside organizations/vendors and the public
Must secure and maintain a favorable background investigation and clearance
Must clear a pre-employment physical and a pre-employment drug screen test
May be required to work more than 40 hours during the workweek
