LIBRARY MEDIA TECHNICIAN
10 MONTHS
Description:
- Assists the school librarian in operating the Library Media Center (LMC).
- Checks in/out library materials
- Shelves & assists student in locating library materials
- Responsible for taking Student of the Month photos, updating Announcement Slide, notifying local newspaper & Superintendents office and morning broadcasts.
- Orders materials using LMC budget via CPS Accounting system
- Responsible for processing, adding, leveling, repairing, discarding materials related to LMC collection
- Sends notices for lost/damaged books
- Assists students & staff with various with printer/copier issues
- Event set up in LMC
- Knowledge of AMS, Tyler Enterprise ERP, Google Suite, copier/printer machines, misc. Library machinery
Schedule: Full time, 10 Months, 35 Hours/Week, Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 3:00 pm.
Supervised By:
Receives task direction from the School Principal and/or his/her designee.
Qualifications:
Excellent organization, communication and collaboration skills, ability to relate to staff members and students in a courteous and effective manner; knowledge of computer skills. Experience with Destiny library book data base system preferred.
Salary:
In accordance with the Agreement Between Cheshire Board of Education and the Cheshire Educational Secretaries and Technicians United (Grade 2) $26.79/hr 26/27 SY.
