Labor & Delivery / Postpartum RN | Oklahoma
Join a compassionate women’s health team dedicated to providing exceptional care for mothers, newborns, and families. We’re seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery / Postpartum Registered Nurse (RN) to support patients through childbirth, recovery, and postpartum care in a fast-paced hospital environment delivering approximately 850–900 infants annually.
Unit Overview:
Approximately 75 deliveries per month
10 Postpartum Beds
5 Labor & Delivery Beds
What You’ll Do:
Assess, monitor, and care for obstetrical, postpartum, neonatal, and medical-surgical patients
Recognize and respond quickly to emergency situations involving mothers and newborns
Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient assessments and clinical needs
Administer medications, IV therapy, respiratory treatments, and emergency interventions as prescribed
Operate and monitor specialized equipment including infusion pumps, fetal monitors, ventilators, and cardiac monitors
Educate patients and families on preventive care, postpartum recovery, newborn care, and discharge instructions
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate high-quality patient care
Delegate tasks appropriately and provide leadership and support to nursing staff and unlicensed personnel
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and ensure patient safety standards are met
What You’ll Bring:
Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery and/or Postpartum RN experience required
Active Oklahoma RN License or Compact RN License required
Current certifications required:
BLS
ACLS
NRP
STABLE
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to meet pre-employment requirements including background check and drug screening
Ability to meet physical demands including standing, walking, lifting, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs
