Primary Care Physician – Locums

We’re seeking a Primary Care Physician for a locums assignment in Jay, Oklahoma. This is a great opportunity for providers who value a consistent weekday schedule and a steady patient panel.

Position Details

  • Duration: 17-week contract (option to extend)

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Compensation

  • $120 – $135/hour (1099)

Job Description

The Primary Care Physician will provide comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages in a clinical setting. This role includes diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions, promoting preventive care, and supporting overall patient health within the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients across the lifespan

  • Manage both acute illnesses and chronic conditions

  • Perform routine physical exams, wellness visits, and preventive screenings

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

  • Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic tests

  • Prescribe medications and monitor treatment effectiveness

  • Provide patient and family education on health maintenance and disease prevention

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EMR systems

  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure coordinated patient care

  • Follow all clinical guidelines, protocols, and regulatory standards

Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Primary Care (preferred)

  • Minimum 1 year of Primary Care experience

  • Active Oklahoma medical license

  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required

  • Comfortable treating patients of all ages

  • Ability to manage both acute and chronic care cases
