PositionSummary:Underthedirectionof theSenior Directorof Level I Licensing, thesupervisor is responsiblefor supervision, guidance,and monitoringofthe workandstaffwithinthe Licensing Team.  TheSupervisorwillensurethe successfulcompletionof Level I licensureapplications promotingcompliancewith all licensingrequirements.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

 

•     Supervise and provide guidance toLicensingstaffincludingtasksspecifictoeligibilityandregulatoryrequirements forlevel 1 licensure.

•     Assistthe Senior Director ofLicensing with problem resolution.

•     Assistpeer Licensing Supervisors with themonitoring and approval of data collection, regulatory andeligibilityactivities, as needed

•     Facilitate routinestaff(oneon one) and team meetings for guidance, coaching, and communication.

•     Receives caregiver and CMA calls, log any complaints, respond to requestsor assistancein a timely and effectivemanner

•     Establish and maintain effective mechanisms to promotetimely problem identification, resolution, and licensing.

•     Collaborate with Kinship, Operations, and Case Management in thecontinuum from placement and or ‘opt in’ to initial licensing.

·       Participate as amember oftheLicensing Leadership Team in creating and carrying outstrategies for continuous improvement and strategic planning.

•     Utilize reports and data to monitor productivity and services andensurethey aredelivered in aneffective and efficient manner.

•     Establish and maintain documentedteam processand scorecards, to monitor workload standards, servicegoals and priorities.

•     Conduct licensing filepacket review for completeness and correctness for submission to DCF licensing for processing and issuanceof licenseby DCF.

•     Partner with CMAs andCounty Operations to ensuresupport andcompliancethroughout the licensureprocess.Examples include training, one-on-oneassistance, or meetings.

•     Monitor licensing submission and ensurestandardsaremet for coderequirements, licensing expiration and DCFsubmission monthly.

•     Participatein DCFlicensing reviews and other applicable monitoring such as EmbraceFamilies

Federal funding monitoring reviews.

•     Participates in creation and annual reviews of UnitPolicy and ProcedureManuals to ensureall policy and procedures reflect current state, federal and system of carerequirements.

•     Participates in the agency strategicplan & quality improvement processes

•     Ability to safely &successfully perform essentialjob functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, & otherfederal,state, & local standards, including meeting qualitative & quantitative productivity standards.


•     Ability to maintain reasonably regular, punctual attendanceconsistent with ADA, FMLA &

otherfederal, state, & local standards

•     Ability to comply with all personnel policies & procedures

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

REQUIRED:

 

•      Bachelor’s degree and atleast 3 years of child welfare experience, minimum 2 years in child

placing licensing or appropriate knowledgeof licensing and regulatory standards.

 

•      FloridaChild WelfareCertification

 

 

 

PREFERRED:

 

•      Supervisory experience

•      Knowledgeof the current System of Care

•      Knowledgeof stateSACWIS/CCWISsystems; FSFN

•      Thorough Background Screening upon hireincluding FBI,FDLE,Local Law check, Employment Referencecheck, DMVcheck, Criminal Records check, Social Security Trace& Drug Screening.  FDLEcheck willberunat leastevery 5 years.

•      On-callassignments-YES

•      Travel-local:10%perweek, long-distance: 5% per month
