Position Summary
The Lending System Specialist, you will have the opportunity to use your strong system aptitude, attention to detail, and accuracy to support the lending division’s system maintenance, project deliverables, and AI/ML Tools. This role will create high-quality system testing, validation, and documentation to ensure division key performance indicators are met and improve efficiencies.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Develop high-quality test scripts and perform system testing and validation for core and ancillary systems for system conversion, new products, and lending projects for the Consumer, Indirect, Mortgage, Collections, and Loan Servicing areas.
Assist with all new lending projects and initiatives, work closely with the project management team to ensure that the lending team has accurate procedures, and that testing deliverables are met.
Accurately complete preapproval campaign testing and provide communication to internal partners.
Create and maintain exception reports to proactively monitor system changes, compliance findings, and product support.
Staying abreast of new lending compliance and regulations for system maintenance application, including TIL, TRID, MLA, HMDA, ECOA, FDCPA, etc.
Complete testing and assist with the implementation and maintenance of AI/ML tools to increase efficiency and drive performance. Perform Team Member observation to look for opportunities for optimization, make recommendations to management, create documentation and procedures, and monitor automations.
Support in the data collection for internal and external audits, and ensure system updates are completed, and findings are documented.
Maintain lending optimization logs and spreadsheets for changes, outages, daily operations, and vendor support.
Maintain lending optimization procedures and review internal and member-facing documentation to proactively identify inaccurate or outdated information, including intranet content, the Wellby website, and departmental procedures.
Update and maintain deliverables for Business Continuity Planning for the lending division. Ensure the BCP system is updated to prevent and recover from potential threats and ensure we are protected and can function quickly in the event of a disaster. Maintain a comprehensive list of tasks required to keep operations going, roles and responsibilities, contact information for all team members and vendors, procedures for protocols, etc.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA)
Knowledge of Wellby’s organizational functions and general operating policies and procedures.
Knowledge of general office practices and procedures, business English, spelling, and punctuation.
Knowledge of personal computer, utilizing Microsoft Office Suite and other software’s.
Knowledge of lending regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., TIL, TRID, HMDA, ECOA, MLA, FDCPA)
Knowledge of consumer, indirect, mortgage, collections, and loan servicing processes.
Skilled in operating computer equipment and general office machines such as personal computers, copiers, projection equipment, audio/video, Microsoft Teams, Zoom Video Communications, and adding devices.
Ability to interpret regulations affecting the Credit Union
Ability to troubleshoot system issues and resolve discrepancies in testing or reporting.
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing.
Ability to efficiently understand and follow oral and written instructions, perform routine duties without close supervision, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with other team members.
Ability to coordinate several concurrent activities simultaneously.
Ability to exercise independent judgment.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field required
Minimum three (3) years of directly related experience. One year of required education may be substituted for one year of experience.
Experience with lending compliance and regulations required.
Strong communication, problem-solving, work standards, administrative, and analytical skills required.
