    Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAs part of a legal support team, and under the supervision and direction of the Legal Support Services Supervisor, a Legal Support Specialist (LSS) serves as a key member of a collaborative legal support team, providing a wide range of administrative, technical, and client-facing services to attorneys and staff. Responsibilities include managing schedules, coordinating meetings and travel, assisting with billing and financial tasks, preparing and formatting legal documents, supporting filings and docketing, and maintaining case files in compliance with firm policies. The role also requires strong attention to detail, time management, and professionalism, along with the ability to handle multiple priorities, communicate effectively, and contribute to a high-quality, team-oriented work environment.Hours for this position are from 8:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Monday through Friday. Must be available for occasional overtime as needed.Required QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of two (2) years' experience in a legal support role in a legal environment.Success CriteriaAssociate or bachelor's degree preferredParalegal certificate and/or associate's degree preferredPrior legal-related court, insurance, or regulatory experience strongly preferredDemonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe AcrobatSuperior administrative competencies including effective verbal & written communication skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to work both independently and in a close team environmentExceptional time management and organizational skillsJones Day is an Equal Opportunity Employment Employer.#J-18808-Ljbffr
