Candidates who receive an offer will be required to successfully complete a background check and drug test as a condition of employment.Legal Senior Onsite Service SpecialistNew Haven, CT (Onsite)3+Month Temp to hireMon-Fri 8am-5pmLegal Senior Onsite Services Specialist needed for an immediate contract assignment from 5/25/2026 through 8/31/2026. This position supports daily legal office operations including mail services, hospitality, copy/print production, scanning, reception backup, conference room support, shipping/receiving, and records management. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a legal environment, strong customer service skills, and the ability to manage confidential and time-sensitive documents in a fast-paced setting.Responsibilities Process and distribute incoming/outgoing mail, accountable mail, USPS mail, packages, fax transmissions, and deliveries Operate high-volume copiers, printers, scanners, bindery, and finishing equipment including shrink-wrap machines, paper cutters, hole drillers, joggers, stackers, staplers, and postage meters Perform copying, binding, finishing, QC checks, scanning, OCR, file conversion, electronic file naming, FTP transfers, and document formatting for print and Excel files Manage electronic document organization including TOC (Table of Contents), archiving, purging, and records management Maintain convenience copiers, clear paper jams, troubleshoot equipment issues, and coordinate repair/service calls Set up and break down conference and meeting rooms and provide hospitality support Provide receptionist backup and professional front desk support Coordinate shipping and receiving activities and deliver completed jobs throughout the site Maintain logs, billing records, supply inventory, meter readings, and service documentation Support office moves, light maintenance, re-lamping, housekeeping, and other facility support duties as assigned Handle highly confidential legal documents with accuracy, urgency, and attention to detail under tight deadlines Provide professional support to attorneys, partners, associates, paralegals, legal secretaries, project managers, and executive-level staff Respond to customer requests and questions regarding job status, timelines, and feasibility May require overtime, weekend support, or emergency off-hour response as neededRequirements High school diploma or GED required 1 2 years of related office services experience required Minimum 2 years of legal industry experience highly preferred Experience with mailroom operations including accountable mail and USPS processing strongly preferred Experience with copy, print, scanning, and document production services preferred Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills with experience in customer-facing roles Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced legal environment Working knowledge of copier equipment, shipping/receiving procedures, document management systems, and office software preferred Basic troubleshooting and equipment maintenance skills preferred Ability to read and understand written technical instructions and manuals Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Business casual dress code required; no jeans or gym shoes Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM with a 1-hour lunch Interview process includes Teams interview followed by in-person meet and greet Parking is not provided; public transportation access available Worksite location: New Haven, CTMetasys Technologies is an equal opportunity employer.
