Our growing legal firm is seeking an experienced Legal HR Manager to join our dynamic team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in our dynamic firm, based out of Ladera Ranch. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all human resources functions within the firm, including but not limited to performance management, benefits administration, 401K management, and talent management. This role plays a critical part in the strategic direction of our firm, and we are looking for a candidate who is passionate about driving success through effective people management.

Job Details

What You'll Do In This Role:

1. Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
2. Manage the recruitment and selection process to ensure the firm attracts, retains, and develops top talent.
3. Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
4. Assess training needs, develop and monitor training programs to ensure compliance and foster employee development.
5. Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.
6. Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
7. Oversee employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks to maintain high levels of staff morale and job satisfaction.
8. Nurture a positive working environment where employees feel valued and appreciated.
9. Handle employee grievances and other issues in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
10. Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, and update them as necessary to keep up with changes in the field.

Qualifications:

1. Proven working experience as an HR Manager or similar role for at least 5 years, preferably within the legal industry.
2. People-oriented and results-driven with an ability to manage a variety of HR functions.
3. Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics and knowledge of HR systems and databases.
4. Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
5. Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
6. Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
7. In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices.
8. Degree in Human Resources or related field.
9. Knowledge and experience with 401K management, benefits administration, performance management, and talent management.
10. Professional certification in Human Resources (such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
