Job Details

Our client, a nationally respected law firm, is seeking an experienced Transactional Legal Assistant to provide administrative and transactional support to a busy team of attorneys. This position plays a key role in coordinating complex transactions, preparing legal documentation, and ensuring matters progress efficiently from inception through closing.

Responsibilities:
  • Transaction Support
  • Provide comprehensive support throughout all phases of commercial transactions.
  • Prepare, revise, format, proofread, and finalize legal documents, correspondence, agreements, and closing materials.
  • Assemble and maintain transaction files, due diligence documents, and closing checklists.
  • Coordinate document execution through electronic and traditional signature processes.
  • Prepare electronic and physical closing binders upon completion of transactions.
  • Monitor transaction timelines and assist with meeting critical deadlines.
  • Manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, conference calls, and transaction closings.
  • Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, lenders, title companies, consultants, and other transaction participants.
  • Open new matters, maintain client files, and organize electronic documents within the firm's document management system.
  • Process attorney time entries, expense reports, and other administrative requests.
  • Prepare signature packets and organize executed transaction documents.
  • Maintain version control for complex legal documents.
  • Organize and maintain electronic and hard-copy files in accordance with firm procedures.
  • Assist with compiling due diligence materials and closing deliverables.
  • Serve as a professional point of contact for clients and transaction participants.
  • Respond promptly to requests while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Deliver outstanding administrative support to attorneys and legal teams throughout the transaction lifecycle.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced Microsoft Word formatting.
  • Experience with document management systems such as iManage, NetDocuments, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Familiarity with electronic signature platforms, including DocuSign, is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, proofreading, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client-service mindset.
  • Professional demeanor and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
