Client Overview:
Our client, a well-established South Florida law firm, is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to support Attorneys in a fast-paced litigation practice.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$25/hr - $28/hr

Position Overview:
This Legal Assistant role is ideal for a highly organized professional who can manage multiple deadlines, assist with case preparation, and maintain strong attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities of the Legal Assistant:
  • The Legal Assistant will provide administrative and legal support to attorneys handling litigation matters.
  • Draft, revise, format, and proofread pleadings, correspondence, discovery, and other case-related documents.
  • Maintain and organize physical and electronic case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Coordinate court deadlines, filings, hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial preparation.
  • The Legal Assistant will communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, experts, and outside vendors.
  • Assist with document production, discovery responses, and general case management.
  • The Legal Assistant will support billing, expense tracking, and additional administrative functions as needed.
Required Experience/Skills for the Legal Assistant:
  • Minimum 3+ years of Legal Assistant experience in a law firm environment.
  • Litigation experience is required.
  • Strong knowledge of court procedures, legal terminology, and litigation document preparation.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Legal Assistant:
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
Education Requirements:
  • High school diploma is required.
