Location

Job Description
- Support attorneys and legal staff with day-to-day litigation and administrative tasks.
- Prepare, edit, format, proofread, and finalize legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, discovery materials, and court filings.
- Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, hearings, depositions, meetings, and case-related appointments.
- Assist with e-filing in Michigan courts and maintain organized electronic and physical case files.
- Coordinate scheduling with attorneys, clients, courts, opposing counsel, vendors, and internal team members.
- Open, maintain, update, and close client and matter files.
- Draft routine correspondence and assist with client communications in a professional manner.
- Track deadlines, follow up on outstanding items, and help keep cases moving efficiently.
- Assist with discovery support, records requests, subpoenas, deposition preparation, and trial preparation as needed.
- Perform general administrative support, including scanning, saving, filing, copying, mailing, and document management.
Qualifications
- Legal assistant, legal secretary, or law firm administrative experience preferred.
- Litigation support experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with court filings, legal documents, attorney calendars, and case deadlines preferred.
- Strong proofreading, formatting, organization, and communication skills.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, PDF/document management tools, and legal technology.
- Professional, reliable, detail-oriented, and able to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently while also supporting attorneys and team members collaboratively.
