We are seeking a seasoned Legal Assistant with a strong background in real estate litigation to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile cases and expand your skills in a challenging yet rewarding environment. You will be responsible for assisting attorneys in all stages of litigation matters. This includes managing heavy case load, coordinating with judges, attorneys, and opposing counsel, drafting legal documents, and maintaining attorney calendars. This role requires a candidate who can handle a fast-paced environment with an exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Assist attorneys in trial preparation, discovery, motions, pleadings, e-filing, and court filings.
2. Maintain and manage attorney calendars, ensuring all deadlines are met and schedules are organized.
3. Handle docketing and case management, ensuring all case documents are properly filed and easily accessible.
4. Draft and revise legal documents, correspondence, and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable legal formats and styles.
5. Conduct legal research and analyze case law, statutes, legal decisions, codes, etc.
6. Manage collections, liens, foreclosures, and bankruptcies, ensuring that all processes are followed in accordance with legal requirements.
7. Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive and proprietary information.
8. Provide administrative support to attorneys, including answering phones, managing correspondence, and coordinating meetings.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant, preferably in real estate litigation.
2. Proficient in trial preparation, discovery, motions, pleadings, e-filing, and court filings.
3. Strong experience in calendar management, docketing, case management, and document management.
4. Familiarity with collections, liens, foreclosures, and bankruptcies.
5. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
9. Familiarity with legal research software and case management systems.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
11. Must possess a professional demeanor and excellent customer service skills.
12. Paralegal certification or equivalent is preferred.
13. Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies or related field is a plus.
