    Legal Assistant

Working in a fast-paced environment, this role plays a critical role in the preparation of contracts as well as the editing, proofreading, and processing of legal documents, including correspondence, memoranda, or other specific documents

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare equipment leasing contracts for customers across various industries
    • Using your strong attention to detail, you will review, proofread and make corrections as needed to contract documents
    • Maintain accurate records of all contract versions and amendments
    • Ensure documents are prepared in compliance company policies, standards and procedures
    • Ensure all necessary documentation is filed, organized, and accessible
    • Collaborate with sales team members & external customers to ensure that customer expectations and deadlines are being met
    • Stay knowledgeable about changes to internal procedures and processes
    • Act as contact for any questions related to the legal assistant role

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    Education & experience - College degree, paralegal certificate or the equivalent required. At least six months of experience in a commercial or legal workplace, preparing and proofreading correspondence, business documents, white papers, etc.

    Computer skills - Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, MS Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

    Adaptability and flexibility - open to change, adjusting quickly to new situations or priorities, and finding effective ways to move forward.

    Physical Requirements

    Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

    Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds at a time.
