Description
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support a busy judicial foreclosure practice. This role is ideal for someone with litigation support experience who enjoys coordinating legal processes, managing case documentation, and working closely with attorneys and external partners.
Location: Blue Ash, OH (Opportunity to work from the Covington, KY office after training for candidates based in Northern Kentucky)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Pay: $24 to $30/hour, based on experience
Responsibilities
- Coordinate service of process with external process servers.
- Prepare, review, and manage legal documentation related to service of process.
- Review Affidavits of Service for completeness and accuracy prior to filing.
- Monitor the status of service requests and follow up to ensure timely completion.
- Communicate with attorneys, legal staff, and process servers regarding case updates.
- Maintain accurate case information within the firm's case management system.
- Perform e-filing and other legal administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of Legal Assistant, Litigation Assistant, or Paralegal experience.
- Experience coordinating service of process or supporting civil litigation preferred.
- Knowledge of Ohio court procedures required. Experience with Kentucky and Indiana court procedures is a plus.
- Experience in foreclosure, creditors' rights, default servicing, or eviction matters is preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
