Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Legal & Compliance Analyst to support contract
management, compliance initiatives, and risk management activities across the organization.
This role will work closely with the Contracts & Compliance Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure contracts are properly administered, compliance standards are upheld, and risks are identified and addressed.
The Legal & Compliance Analyst will play a key role in supporting contract review processes,
coordinating with outside counsel, and maintaining documentation to ensure strong governance and audit readiness.
Job Description:
Contract Administration & Support- Support the contract lifecycle process, including intake, tracking, and document management
- Review contracts against standard templates and playbooks to identify non-standard terms
- Prepare contract summaries highlighting key terms, obligations, and risks
- Maintain contract repository (CLM system), ensuring accuracy, version control, and completeness
- Track contract milestones, expirations, and renewal deadlines
Compliance & Regulatory Support- Assist in maintaining compliance programs, policies, and internal controls
- Monitor adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements
- Support internal and external audits, including documentation preparation and follow-up tracking
- Assist with compliance reviews and periodic risk assessments
Risk Identification & Analysis- Identify potential contractual and compliance risks and escalate to management as appropriate
- Analyze contract terms such as indemnification, liability, insurance, and data protection provisions
- Support development and maintenance of risk registers and tracking tools
Outside Counsel Coordination- Coordinate communication and document flow with outside counsel
- Track contract reviews and ensure timely follow-ups
- Assist in summarizing legal feedback into clear, business-friendly language
Contract Review Committee Support- Prepare materials and summaries for Contract Review Committee meetings
- Assist in compiling risk analysis, financial considerations, and key contract terms
- Document meeting outcomes, approvals, and action items
- Track follow-ups and ensure completion of assigned tasks
Cross-Functional Collaboration- Work with Procurement, Finance, IT, and Operations to gather required contract and compliance information
- Support vendor onboarding and due diligence processes
- Provide day-to-day support to business stakeholders on contract-related inquiries
Reporting & Documentation- Maintain accurate records, logs, and dashboards related to contracts and compliance activities
- Support reporting on KPIs such as contract cycle time, compliance adherence, and risk trends
- Ensure documentation is complete and audit-ready
Process Improvement & Training Support- Assist in maintaining contract templates, playbooks, and compliance documentation
- Support training efforts by preparing materials and guides for internal stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and controls
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance or a related field required
- 2+ years of experience in contract administration, compliance, legal operations, or related field
- Experience supporting contract review processes or working with legal teams preferred
- Experience in retail, grocery, or distribution is a plus
