Position Summary The Assistant General Manager in Training is a developmental role to prepare team members to enter the Assistant General Manager role within a 6-12 month timeframe based on job performance and available openings. The Assistant General Manager in Training reports to the General Manager and is responsible for helping maintain the operational excellence of hisher specified restaurant. The Assistant General Manager in Training shall complete all assigned developmental activities to become proficient enough to take the lead role in the absence of the General Manager. The Assistant General Manager in Training provides leadership and guidance to the restaurant team members through promoting and maintaining all operating standards processes and recipes of Leeann Chin. Essential Functions Supports guest relations and customer satisfaction outcomes of hisher designated restaurant through guest interaction in the form of table touches and call-backs. Is responsible for supporting the implementing cascading and sustaining of the business goalsincluding but not limited to food costs labor and Team Member retention¸as well regarding companynew initiatives introduced to the restaurant management and team members. Uses the P&L to identify and partners with the GM to address opportunities to increase business results. Assists the GM in creating monthly action plans and sets challenging yet achievable goals to increase sales and operating profit through local marketing and other internal opportunities. Is accountable for fostering a safe respectful and quality employee experience and takes immediate action in situations that threaten that environment. Is able to supervise assign and delegate tasks appropriately to management and hourly team members. Is responsible for assisting the General Manager in recruiting hiring and training. Acts as a goodwill ambassador to the community of Leeann Chin. Is responsible to support the GM in individual staff performance management and development. This includes but is not limited to ensuring manager and team member performance appraisals are current and that on-going appropriate coaching correction and feedback are delivered on a consistent basis. Is accountable for ensuring that all state and federal safety and sanitation guidelines are being followed. Is responsible for regular repairs and maintenance of the restaurant utilizing Service. Channel Completes all training and development activities assigned by the Regional Director.
