Middle Georgia State University (MGA), a multi-campus, baccalaureate and graduate degree-granting public institution, is the most affordable public state university in Georgia. MGA has five campuses-Macon, Cochran, Dublin, Eastman, and Warner Robins, all located in central Georgia-and global outreach through its fully-online campus. Its enrollment of 8,400 students is largely comprised of students from most of Georgias 159 counties. Department Information
The Department of Information Technology has programs that prepare students to solve problems and apply new technologies within an increasingly interconnected and changing global environment. They emphasize career success through lifelong learning and professional development at all levels of the curriculum. The Department offers a Bachelor of Science (BSIT), Master of Science (MSIT), and Doctor of Science (DScIT) in Information Technology. Middle Georgia State¿s Bachelor of Science in Information Technology program is accredited by ABET. MGA is also designed as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education (CAE-CDE) by the National Security Agency.
Job Summary
The Department of Information Technology within the School of Computing at Middle Georgia State University is seeking candidates for a Lecturer of Information Technology. This is a non-tenure-track teaching position that involves teaching and service.
Responsibilities
Teaching responsibilities will be at the undergraduate level. Candidates should be able to teach a variety of IT cores and elective courses within the IT program (http://www.mga.edu/it). Teaching responsibilities may include day and/or evening classes. Travel between campuses (Cochran, Dublin, Macon, and Warner Robins) will be required. Online teaching experience is required. In addition to teaching, job requirements include service to the institution.
