LEASING MANAGER

SUMMARY

The Leasing Manager is responsible for overseeing the leasing team and ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the leasing office. This role requires a strong emphasis on resident satisfaction, team leadership, and the ability to utilize technology to manage resident information and assist with marketing efforts.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the leasing team, providing guidance, training, and support to Leasing Professionals.

  • Manage the leasing process from initial inquiry to lease signing, ensuring a high level of customer service is provided to prospective and current residents.

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the property's features, floor plans, pricing, and availability.

  • Utilize property management software (such as Yardi or RealPage) to manage resident information, process applications, and track leases.

  • Prepare lease documents and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and efficiently.

  • Coordinate resident move-ins and move-outs, providing residents with necessary information and resources.

  • Assist with planning and executing resident retention programs and community events.

  • Support the leasing team with marketing efforts, including updating online listings, preparing marketing materials, and managing social media engagement.

  • Maintain accurate records of resident interactions and transactions, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

  • Occasionally assist the Assistant Community Director with tasks such as:

  • Preparing and delivering resident communications

  • Managing resident requests and concerns

  • Coordinating maintenance and repair work

  • Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leasing or sales role in the multifamily industry.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a supervisory or management role.

  • Proficiency in property management software (such as Yardi or RealPage).

  • Ability to utilize technology for marketing efforts, online reputation management, and resident communication.

  • Strong understanding of Fair Housing laws and practices.

  • Ability to analyze real estate market trends and conditions and then offer recommendations for improvement.

  • Knowledge of concierge services and resident events programming.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven experience building rapport and establishing positive relationships with a variety of clientele.

  • Must have a valid driver's license with no major infractions in the last 12 months.

  • Proactive and solution-oriented approach to resident concerns.

  • Team player with a positive and professional attitude.

  • Strong leadership and motivational skills.
