Leasing Consultant duties and responsibilities

As the main person responsible for the daily dealings of a rental property, there are many duties and responsibilities a good Leasing Consultant should be able to take on. Some of the most common duties include:

• Renewing and renegotiating lease agreements
• Ensuring tenants follow the rules and pay on time
• Resolving any issues raised by the tenants
• Ensuring proper and safe maintenance of both the inside and outside of the building
• Reviewing tenant applications and completing thorough background checks on prospective tenants
• Overseeing and maintenance or repairs that are carried out on the premises
• Creating regular reports for the landlord
• Managing the budget
