Glenbrook Elementary School is seeking a collaborative and student-centered Learning Support Teacher to provide targeted reading and math interventions and enrichment opportunities. Working closely with classroom teachers, the LST will design and deliver small group and individualized instruction, monitor student progress, and help ensure every learner has the support needed to succeed in an inclusive and welcoming school community. Candidates must hold a valid Wisconsin Teaching License with Reading License (1316, formerly 316, or 317).
Job Goal: The Learning Support Teacher shall provide building level support for the curriculum, assessment, and instruction necessary to enrich and support the learning and achievement of all students focusing on "out of sync" learners both at-risk and advanced learner.
Qualifications:
Wisconsin DPI Teaching Certification (for their level); Required Reading 316, or 317 reading specialist license or working towards the licensure for Title I Schools. Preferred for other schools.

Knowledgeable / skilled in differentiated instruction.
Knowledgeable effective practices to meet the needs of the learners of the 21st century.
Carry out emergency/crisis response procedures as specified by the building/department administrator (or the willingness to acquire the necessary skills to carry out the procedures).
Perform any necessary computer technology tasks associated with the position (or willingness to learn/acquire skills).
Maintain confidentiality.
Current First Aid/CPR Certified or willingness to acquire.
