Position Summary: System-wide collaborative oversight and direct responsible for the successful administration, design, develop, implement, evaluate of team member learning modalities (eLearning, classroom, etc.) with a specific focus on those initiatives that increase team member skills and/or knowledge related to Orlando Healths system-wide quality and patient safety initiatives. Responsibilities (Essential Functions) Serves as a system-wide consulting liaison for team member learning initiatives related to quality and patient safety. Collaborates with and influences leadership, learning stakeholders, and support personnel at all levels to efficiently and effectively... Thoroughly scopes team member learning needs with regards to quality and patient safety programs. Considers time resources and scope to build a team member learning project plan. Leverages subject matter experts, industry standards, regulatory resources, and professional organizations to acquire learning program content. Conceptualizes the best learning delivery methods to obtain required results. Conducts learning program analysis to determine what specific success outcomes are required. Conducts cost analysis of learning programs to aid in decision making. Receives, organizes, and properly vets feedback from stakeholders to facilitate decision making process, learning content, implementation plans, etc. Maintains accurate project plan, keeping stakeholders abreast of project constraints, barriers, and successes. Supports and/or leads implementation of quality and patient safety team member learning programs. Supports and/or conducts the design, development, and purchase of team member learning modalities. Displays exceptional communication skills. Facilitates acquisition of opinions and feedback at all levels. Is concise in conveying information to constituents whether in an email, one-on-one, as a group, or in a presentation. Promptly responds to inquiries and requests. Promotes interactions that seek to understand, gain clarity, and support buy-in. Creates an environment that encourages a respectful exchange of ideas and challenges the status quo. Can obtain expedient resolve, closure, and decision making. Expertise Required: Training, learning, and education Needs assessment Adult learning theory Evidenced based practices, research methodologies, and literature reviews Theories, models, and principles Curriculum design and delivery Lesson plan design and delivery Instructional design Modification and delivery of development strategies based on team member readiness Wide variety of teaching, learning, and delivery modalities Learning activities Learning environments and contexts Evaluation methods and types including process, outcomes based, and formative/summative Learning management systems administration, documentation, tracking, reporting, and course delivery Program and project management Leadership principles and practice Facilitation, consultation, management, and delegation Acts as an expert resource for team member learning that embraces quality and patient safety in practice. Contributes subject matter expertise with regards to team member learning in the development of policies and procedures related to quality and patient safety. Participates from a team member learning perspective in the planning and implementation of new technologies and procedures that support or enhance quality and patient safety activities. Participates in collaborative activities with the Clinical Practice Improvement staff of the various hospitals within OH. Designs, creates, and produces reports for constituents with regards to team member learning initiatives surrounding quality and patient safety. Analyzes said reports and articulates trends and recommendations for improvement. Rounds regularly to promote the culture of quality and safety to serve as a resource for the staff as related to quality and safety, observe practices, and identify potential areas for process improvement or enhancements. Participates on committees related to quality and patient safety as appropriate. Participates in Root Cause Analysis and Failure Mode Effects Analysis when needed. Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards. Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Other Related Functions Serves as a change agent who embraces and inspires change. Seeks out and embraces leading edge learning technologies. Autonomous and self-directed. Qualifications Education/Training: Bachelors degree required. Licensure/Certification: Maintains current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida. Maintains current BLS/healthcare provider certification. Experience: Five (5) years of acute hospital environment clinical areas exposure required. Three (3) years of clinical education or training experience required to include experience in education or training program design and coordination. This may be concurrent with the five years of acute hospital environment requirement. Advanced presentation skills utilizing multimedia required. Has a firm understanding of adult learning theory. Technologically proficient (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Able to simultaneously work on and prioritize multiple projects.
