POSITION: Learning Center Facilitator
STARTING DATE: 2026-27 School Year
QUALIFICATIONS: 1. The candidate must have earned a teaching certificate.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Work year: Four days per week (5 hours per day) for 140 days or less during the 2026-27 school year. The exact number of days will depend on the start date of the chose candidate.
- Salary: $150.00 per day.

JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE OF THE POSITION:
Learning Center Facilitator
LOCATION OF THE POSITION:
Tinley Park High School
REPORTS TO:
Principal
GENERAL DUTIES:
- To assist in maintaining high quality services for all students in regards to academic achievement.
- Coordinate student assistance with classroom teachers, counselors and administrators.
- Maintain daily, weekly and quarterly logs to show student needs, progress and recommendations for improvement.
- Work daily with students to monitor their grades and assign additional assistance as needed.
- Work daily with teachers to obtain additional work and address other academic concerns in regards to student academic progress.
- Create reports that show academic progress for all in the Learning Center.
- Maintain an open line of communication with parents about academic concerns and progress.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The candidate must have earned a teaching certificate
Data collection, analysis, and problem-solving skills
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Possess the ability to speak clearly and be understood by others.
- Possess the ability to write legibly.
- Possess the ability and has received the training to effectively operate a computer, using a PC platform.
- Possess the ability to demonstrate effective telephone skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to calmly address individuals using the services offered by the position.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create logs and stats to show student academic progress
- Prepare lists of students that need academic assistance by class referrals
- Work with teachers at obtaining assignments and other academic materials
- Coordinate student and staff assistance for students as needed
- Work closely with counselors and teachers to address academic concerns
- Create a positive working environment for students to learn
