University Human Resources is seeking a Learning Analyst. This is a part-time (0.50 FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position.

The Workday Learning Analyst provides functional and technical support for Oregon State University's Workday Learning module, ensuring efficient, compliant, and consistent learning processes across the institution. This position serves as a key resource for the configuration, testing, deployment, and ongoing support of Learning -related system enhancements, while collaborating with cross-functional partners to align system functionality with human resources and institutional needs.

The role is responsible for maintaining accurate documentation, supporting reporting and data integrity, and providing guidance and training to faculty and staff on Workday Learning processes. Through careful evaluation of system requests, monitoring of updates and releases, and participation in testing and validation activities, this position helps ensure learning operations remain effective, compliant, and responsive to university priorities. The Workday Learning Analyst exercises independent judgment in supporting data quality, system governance, and process improvements that directly influence hiring operations and institutional reporting.

Key Responsibilities

90% Workday Sustainment Support

  • Configure and support testing, and deployment of Workday business process changes and feature releases related to Learning.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to gather requirements and align system capabilities with business needs.
  • Track and report on system updates, releases, and testing cycles.
  • Maintain documentation of standard operating procedures, system processes, configurations, and functional designs.
  • Serve as technical resource for the Workday Learning Module; provide system support and user troubleshooting.
  • Support reporting requirements by generating standard Workday reports for departments and Learning Auditors.
  • Evaluate and validate incoming reporting requests to prevent duplication and ensure requests align with unit and university priorities.
  • Regularly audit existing functional unit learning assets to identify redundancies and coordinate with Learning Partners to retire outdated content, maintaining a reporting portfolio that is current, efficient, compliant, and aligned with institutional priorities.
  • Serve as a campus resource for Workday Learning functionality, troubleshooting user issues, and coordinating with IT or central offices to resolve system errors.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal HR partners, OSU employees, and supervisors on Workday Learning processes.
  • Develop, in collaboration with the OCM Analyst, and maintain job aids, FAQs, and procedural documentation for consistent university-wide practices.
  • Maintain clear, concise documentation for system processes and procedures, ensuring consistency, efficiency, compliance and clarity in system management and data reporting.
  • Monitor and report on system updates, releases, and enhancements.
  • Participate in testing and validation of Workday system updates, ensuring the Workday Learning processes remain efficient and compliant.

10% Other Workday related duties as assigned

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2 years of experience managing and/or administrating a Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Understanding of HR operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with learning stakeholders, including internal partners, cross-functional colleagues, and IT staff.
  • Ability to accurately collect, assess, communicate, and implement business needs.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects.
  • Ability to work successfully in a matrixed environment.

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.

What We Would Like You to Have

  • Workday experience and training.
  • HR functional and system experience.
  • Experience with employee data management and HRIS.
  • Master's degree in Adult Education or related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience with eLearning and/or instructional design.

Working Conditions / Work Schedule

Work can be done during normal work hours but there may be times when after hours or weekend work may be needed to meet deadlines. Hybrid or fully remote.
