Can you rally a team, stabilize flow, and ship quality products on time—day after day? At Serta Simmons Bedding, we’re looking for a Lean-minded Production Supervisor to elevate our 2nd shift operations and nurture a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Your Impact
- Drive on-time, in-budget output by leading a department/cell with clarity and purpose.
- Pinpoint daily production issues and eliminate root causes to protect the schedule.
- Serve as the bridge between associates and management, guiding the team through change.
- Build, audit, and improve standardized work for your team; model Leader Standard Work.
- Run daily huddles, set expectations, and provide real-time feedback on performance.
- Track status hourly, resolve constraints, and keep goals visible and achievable.
- Own continuous flow and materials delivery systems; partner with the team to improve them.
- Grow talent—expand skills, deepen bench strength, and encourage problem-solving mindsets.
- Read schedules, forecast labor, assign work, and interpret specs/job orders.
- Recommend improvements to processes, equipment, quality, and working conditions.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- 3–5 years in a supervisory role within a Lean manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Solid grasp of machinery, processes, and production flow; able to troubleshoot equipment.
- Knowledge of safety standards and quality control.
- Comfort with production metrics and reporting.
