The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Kentwood that are seeking Lean Manufacturing Engineers. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute continuous improvement projects using Lean methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping).
  • Analyze manufacturing processes to identify waste, bottlenecks, and opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Develop and implement standardized work procedures and best practices across production lines.
  • Train and mentor production teams on Lean principles and tools to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to Lean initiatives, such as OEE, scrap, and cycle time.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and engineering, to drive operational excellence.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Bonus Qualifications

  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • Experience with simulation software (e.g., FlexSim, Arena)
  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies (IoT, AI, robotics)
  • PMP or other project management certification
