Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled Lead Wet Finisher to oversee the wet finishing process of precast concrete products. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, has a keen eye for detail, and can lead a team to achieve consistent, high-quality results. The Lead Wet Finisher will play a critical role in ensuring the final finish meets both project specifications and our company’s high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead and coordinate daily wet finishing operations for precast concrete components.
+ Ensure surfaces are finished to required smoothness, texture, and quality specifications.
+ Mentor and train team members on proper finishing techniques and safety practices.
+ Inspect and verify quality of finished products, addressing defects or inconsistencies.
+ Collaborate with Production Supervisors to meet production schedules and prioritize workflow.
+ Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to ensure safety and efficiency.
+ Assist in process improvements and contribute to a culture of continuous quality improvement.
Qualifications:
+ 3+ years of experience in concrete finishing, preferably in a precast environment.
+ Proven experience leading or mentoring a team in a production setting.
+ Strong knowledge of concrete properties, curing methods, and finishing techniques.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and production drawings.
+ Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
+ Physical ability to perform hands-on finishing work, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
Preferred Skills:
+ Experience with various finish types
Physical Requirements:
Move minimum of 50lbs., spatial awareness/depth perception, walk, climb, bend at the waist, reach, forceful use of hand tools, vocal projection
Work Environment:
Typical industrial hazard varying climates, dust, noise and moving machinery.
