Alpine Animal Clinic is seeking an experienced Lead Veterinary Technician!

This is an excellent opportunity for skilled technicians ready to take the next step in their career and grow as a leader within a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Our technical team plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and outstanding client service. As Lead Veterinary Technician, you will provide guidance and oversight to our team of Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants, while continuing to perform hands-on technical duties.

Leadership responsibilities include:

  • Delegating tasks to ensure efficient workflow and optimal patient care.

  • Monitoring daily operations to maintain safety and uphold medical standards.

  • Providing training, mentorship, and ongoing support to help team members grow and succeed.

This position is ideal for technicians with high emotional intelligence, a talent for building positive team culture, and excellent multitasking and time management skills.

This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday with rotating weekends 1 time per month, on-call 1 weekend every 6 weeks.

Full-time benefits and compensation**:

  • Compensation: $23-25 per hour, for each hour worked*
  • Shift differential for certain hours on weekends and daily rate on weekends + emergency pay
  • Bonus package: $500-$2,000 based on experience and licensure
  • CE allowance: Up to $1,000 annually based on licensure

Minimum qualifications and skill set:

  • 2+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
  • Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of Montana is a plus
  • Proficiency in the following skills:
    • Client communication
    • Training and mentorship
    • Anesthesia induction/monitoring
    • IVC placement
    • Monitoring Hospital Flow
    • Outpatient care
