Description
Lead Veterinarian
Animal Infirmary of Hoboken (Tuder Group)
Hoboken, NJ
Let’s be honest—“Lead Veterinarian” can mean a lot of things. At Animal Infirmary of Hoboken, it means stepping into a role where your voice matters, your team has your back, and you actually have the support to practice great medicine and enjoy your life outside the clinic.
We’re part of the Tuder Group of hospitals, which means you get the best of both worlds: the resources and stability of a larger network, paired with the autonomy, culture, and personality of a well-loved neighborhood practice. No red tape, no cookie-cutter approach—just good people doing good work together.
Why Hoboken?
If you know, you know. Hoboken has that perfect mix of city energy and community feel. You’ll see your clients at the coffee shop, along the waterfront, or grabbing dinner after work. It’s walkable, vibrant, and just minutes from NYC—but without the chaos of practicing in the city.
About the Hospital
Animal Infirmary of Hoboken has been a staple in the community for years, with a loyal client base that trusts us to deliver thoughtful, thorough care. Our team is experienced, collaborative, and genuinely enjoys working together (no weird cliques, no drama—just a solid crew that shows up for each other).
We’re well-equipped, efficiently run, and focused on practicing medicine the right way—not the rushed way.
What You’ll Do
This is a leadership role, but not one where you’re buried in admin work or expected to “fix everything.” You’ll:
- Set the tone medically and culturally for the team
- Mentor and support other veterinarians
- Partner with a strong practice manager to keep things running smoothly
- Help shape the future of the hospital in a way that actually feels meaningful
- Practice high-quality medicine without being micromanaged
What We’re Looking For
- An experienced DVM who’s ready to step into (or continue in) a leadership role
- Someone who leads by example and communicates like a real human
- A collaborative mindset—you don’t need all the answers, just the willingness to work through them with your team
- A sense of humor doesn’t hurt either
What You’ll Get
We keep it simple and focused on what actually matters:
- Competitive salary + production
- 401(k)
- Company-sponsored Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
- Referral bonus opportunities
- Employee pet care discount
A Bit About Tuder Group
Tuder Group hospitals are built around the idea that veterinary medicine should feel sustainable—for doctors, staff, and clients. We believe in empowering our teams, not overloading them. You’ll have the backing of a broader network without losing your hospital’s identity or your own autonomy.
If you’re ready for a leadership role that feels less like a corporate checklist and more like a genuine opportunity to build something great with a team you actually enjoy, we’d love to talk.
