Job Description

If you are looking for a workplace where exceptional veterinary care is paired with heartfelt compassion, our organization could be the perfect fit for you. Situated in the vibrant city of Corvallis, Oregon, we operate as a comprehensive, AAHA-accredited small animal practice and a 24/7 emergency facility. This distinctive combination allows us to tackle intricate cases while adhering to the highest medical standards.

At the heart of our mission is the quality of care we provide. Our modern facility is fully equipped to facilitate advanced diagnostics and intricate medical management. You will have access to an in-house laboratory, digital radiography (including dental imaging), ultrasound, a Snyder oxygen cage, blood products, and a therapy laser. Additionally, we employ a CO2 laser for various advanced soft tissue surgical procedures. Our electronic medical records are managed through Cornerstone, ensuring efficient documentation and workflow.

We recognize that supporting our team members is essential for delivering outstanding patient care. Our veterinarians benefit from a supportive structure with a 3:1 staff-to-doctor ratio, which includes dedicated emergency and ICU technicians to ensure consistent care. Joining our team means entering a collaborative environment that values work-life balance. We also offer a wealth of educational resources and opportunities for professional development, whether you aim to achieve credentialing, step into leadership roles, or access internal specialty consultations.

Corvallis boasts an exceptional quality of life, with the breathtaking Pacific Northwest right at your doorstep. As the home of Oregon State University, the city combines the intellectual vibrancy of a college town with the warmth of a close-knit community. Nestled in the Willamette Valley, you will have ample opportunities for outdoor activities—from kayaking on the Willamette River and hiking the Corvallis-to-the-Sea Trail to exploring local vineyards and the stunning Oregon coast. With a rich arts scene, charming local shops, and a lively Farmers' Market, Corvallis is a fantastic place to live, connect with nature, and establish roots.

  • Role Model Medical Excellence: You will exemplify the highest standards of medical care, client service, and operational efficiency while also practicing as an associate veterinarian and meeting your own production targets.
  • Drive Hospital Performance: Collaborating with your Practice Manager, you will assist in formulating the annual operating plan, managing the hospital's financial performance towards an EBITDA goal, and ensuring adherence to all medical and DEA regulations.
  • Foster a Culture of Growth: You will lead monthly meetings with doctors to discuss best practices, new services, and medical standards. Additionally, you will oversee externship and mentorship programs and promote a culture of recruitment.
  • Be an Ambassador: You will represent your hospital and our mission through community engagement at schools, universities, and local events.
What You Bring to the Team

  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • A willingness to understand (or learn) the financial and operational management of a veterinary practice.
  • Intermediate computer proficiency (MS Office, Outlook, etc.).
