    Description

    Overview Lead Transmission Engineer at AECOM. This hybrid role can be based in multiple U.S. office locations and focuses on utility transmission design within the power delivery industry.Responsibilities Lead technical staff in the preparation of utility engineering designs, cost estimates, and customer billing.Manage the engineering aspects of multiple projects ranging from 34.5kV to 500kV.Develop project schedules and define technical staff for projects and daily work.Assist in developing technical staff through mentoring and guiding electrical and safety codes.Instruct staff in the use of computer systems, software, tools, equipment, and company vehicles.Provide guidance for professional communication with internal and external stakeholders.Coordinate internal/external design reviews prior to submissions.Collaborate with department managers to develop, evaluate, and implement new policies and procedures reflecting best engineering practices.Collaborate with other departments on company-wide initiatives and maintain relationships with clients; seek opportunities with potential future clients.Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural or Electrical Engineering with 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.Active Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensure.Experience with PLS-CADD, MFAD, AutoCAD.Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in Power Transmission Design.Ability to supervise a project team of Engineers & Engineering Technicians; maintain work product quality and reliability.Advanced knowledge of overhead & underground transmission facilities and integration into daily activities.Experience with NESC, ASCE, IEEE, and other industry standards.Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project).Additional Information Relocation assistance is not available for this role.Sponsorship for US Employment Authorization is not available for this position.Compensation: USD 110000 - USD 160000 per year.
