Senior Production Technician
This requisition is for two DAY shift Senior Production Technicians - $27 hourly.
This job is Safety Sensitive Classification for state of CA.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Production Technician, you will be specializing in thermoplastics, foam coating, and spraying. You will engage in extrusion, spraying and blending technologies, ensuring precision and efficiency in the manufacturing process for optimal product quality.
Your key responsibilities will be/what you'll do:
- Operating process related equipment and plant process control systems in a safe, environmentally responsible manner
- Optimizing plant performance by monitoring process equipment and conditions using spray rates, and coverage, ensuring proper electrical properties for coated foams and honeycombs.
- Collecting and reporting plant measurements related to performance, asset utilization, quality, costs, yield, environmental health and safety, production rates, etc.
- Adjusting manually operated equipment based on process and lab data.
- Determining root causes of deviations in process, product or equipment performance through use of troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis
- Completing individual duties with a high degree of dedication to safety and environmental stewardship.
Job Qualifications
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
- Previous experience in spraying and/or blending technology, manufacturing, the military, or a related environment is highly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word and Excel)
- Ability to perform basic math
- High attention to detail
- Follow procedures and practices to ensure a safe and efficient operation
The following are preferred:
- Associate degree or higher
- Other technical or manufacturing certifications
In addition, the following requirements must be met with or without accommodation:
- Willing and able to work the first shift (5am- 1:30pm), including overtime as needed
- Willing and able to lift 50 lbs. (example: bags of material)
- Willing and able to complete work that involves repetitive motion
- Perceive, identify, and respond to plant and site alarms
