    Work Schedule:
    Open shifts are 8:15 AM – 5:15 PM or 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, depending on the classroom.

    Role Overview

    Our lead teachers are responsible for coordinating the daily operations of assigned classrooms. Teachers plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities in a safe environment. You will work directly with children and parents daily, providing high-quality care and customer service.

    Qualifications

    • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education required
    • Completion of state-required pre-service training
    • Strong communication skills with children, parents, and faculty
    • Ability to remain calm and professional while multitasking in a fast-paced environment
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed for child safety and classroom activities
    • Must meet background check requirements

    Compensation: $17.00 - $19.50 per hour




    Each Goddard School location is privately owned and operated by Goddard Franchisor LLC franchisees. The Goddard School franchise owner(s) are the employers at each school, and the franchise owner(s) set their own wage and benefit programs, which vary by location.

Our year round program offers families the choice of either half day or full day schedule. We are delighted to be the on-site owners of The Goddard School on Theodore Street in Plainfield. We welcome the opportunity for you to join our team by providing the best educational child care for children. Our play-based curriculum taught by our wonderful degreed teachers in a nurturing learning environment, is tailored to meet the social, intellectual, physical and emotional needs of each individual child.
