Summary

We are seeking an experienced team member to join our team in Sulphur, LA. The Lead, Supplier Performance requires an in-depth knowledge of commercial contracting and project management. The Lead, Supplier Performance must be able to apply this knowledge when reviewing strategic supplier contracts and supplier performance with respect to cost, quality and on-time completion of commitments.

General Description Duties & Responsibilities

The Lead, Supplier Performance is responsible for managing the whole lifecycle of supplier relationships. This can include pre-sourcing activities all the way through post execution issues.

  • Facilitate trackable KPI development for scopes of work related to Service RFPs
  • Coordinate required site walks
  • Collaborate with Houston based Contracts Team
  • Provide performance data to assist with bid events
  • Assist with onboarding of new Suppliers
  • Conduct "Kick-Off" Meetings with awarded Suppliers
  • Assist with site onboarding of supplier personnel
  • Set Company expectations
  • Align invoicing requirements with Cost Controls Team expectations
  • Manage site based KPIs and scorecards collection for term of the work
  • Collaborate with HSSE to determine frequency of HSSE KPIs based on risk ranking
  • Establish and maintain open lines of communications between Company and Suppliers to avoid service delays
  • Monitor scope modifications to minimize change orders and/or scope creep
  • Oversee performance reviews and action plans with Suppliers
  • Lead improvement projects with Suppliers
  • Serve as relationship manager between Venture Global Plaquemines LNG and suppliers when issues arise

Qualifications

Required experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a LNG plant experience or equivalent petrochemical experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to understand contract language
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
  • Ability to document, plan, and execute programs
  • Established project management skills
  • Ability to balance multiple conflicting projects to establish priorities for the overall best business outcome
  • Previous experience with cross functional teams, implementing a project or program
  • Previous experience leading a team
  • Change agent with strong work ethic
  • Knowledge of budgeting, planning, scheduling, training
  • High level of HSSE knowledge
  • Self-starter with ability to work strategically under little direction
  • May be required to carry a cell phone and respond as needed during working and non-working hours
  • May be required to work non-traditional hours as needed

Required Education

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or other related discipline is preferred
