Job Summary (List Format) Senior Software Engineer (Cotiviti)

- Lead the design and development of software applications and reusable components for Cotiviti's product suite, adhering to established coding standards and technical design.
- Collaborate with Senior Developers, QA, Product Owners, Project Management, and stakeholders to deliver innovative healthcare analytics solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable software modules.
- Conduct unit and integration testing using appropriate methodologies.
- Analyze requirements and specifications to create detailed technical designs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues from internal and external customers.
- Keep up-to-date with new technologies relevant to the Cotiviti product suite.
- Manage change control and maintain accurate written/electronic records.
- Review proposed engineering solutions to ensure best practices are followed.
- Mentor and guide team members in software engineering methods and techniques.
- Complete assigned responsibilities, special projects, and annual performance goals.
- Analyze existing Cloudera Hadoop architecture, workflows, and pipelines for AWS migration.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive migration strategy to move big data workloads to AWS.
- Design target architecture using AWS big data services (EMR, Airflow, Glue, Lambda).
- Select and implement appropriate AWS tools for data ingestion, storage, processing, and analytics.
- Oversee migration process, ensuring performance, scalability, reliability, and security requirements are met.
- Collaborate with developers, data engineers, DevOps, and stakeholders to ensure a seamless migration.
- Create detailed technical documentation and migration runbooks.
- Mentor team members in AWS big data best practices.
- Ensure strong data security, compliance, and governance in cloud environments.
- Use platform engineering tools (e.g., Bitbucket, Gradle, Octopus, Artifactory) for development and deployment.
- Work with xml/json data formats and monitoring/logging tools as required.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of healthcare data, such as claims and provider/member relationships.
- Perform all duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
