• They Must Have Strong AWS skills, Python Development not scripting
• Experience in Data Integration - they use Air Flow
• Big Project Exp. - They need to be able to work the problem and break it into pieces or numerous stories, and then put it back together again.
• They will be focused on platform building, infrastructure building
• They are building an AWS platform in serverless containers
• They need exp. in GIT, GIT HUB, Terraform - writing custom scripts
• They will be building S3 buckets with kineses
• they will have devops compenents int the day to day life

Team is like a small start up - the biggest challenge is that the business doesn't always know what they want and or how to articulate it. The developers will need to be patient and talk through this with the business. They need individuals who don't only answer the question be definition, but those that can explain how they do something step by step.

Position Overview:

As Technical "Tech" Lead Engineer, provides technical skills combined with strong leadership skills to articulate architectural direction and solutions to both product stakeholders and the development team. A full stack engineer with team leadership skills, deep proficiency in general programming languages, frameworks and deployment methodologies who creates API-based applications from concept to finished product with a cloud-first emphasis. Builds and encourages a collaborative environment while promoting architectural standards of the organization.

Principal Duties:

• Leads a team of developers; oversees development team quality of work, timelines, and project risks without supervision

• Designs, develops, tests, deploys and supports API-based systems focusing on industry best practices with a cloud-first emphasis.

• May supervise or manage four or fewer employees, and responsible for team's performance; coaches and mentors team members

• Seeks continuous quality improvements for supported products

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:
Required - Bachelor's degree of Computer Science or equivalent experience

Preferred - Master s degree and/or LOMA certification

" 8+ years of software development experience

" Proficiency in multiple tools of the full stack covering frontend frameworks, databases and deployments

" Proficiency in a variety of general programming languages

" Proficiency in Test-Driven Development

" Experience with a variety of database technologies

" Proficiency in containerization

" Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies

" Demonstrated ability to lead small teams or projects

" Advanced ability to solve complex problems, drawing upon creativity, experience, and multiple sources of information

" Advanced communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex or difficult information

Preferred

" Insurance and/or reinsurance industry knowledge

" Experience with AWS, GCP or other cloud provider
