Title: Lead - Shipping & Receiving/Warehouse
Reports to: Director of Operations
Department: Shipping/Receiving
Supervises: Warehouse staff / Material Handlers
Basic Function: Coordinate daily shipping, logistics, inventory, and warehouse operations to ensure the accurate and timely movement of materials. Prepare shipping documentation and maintain inventory and shipment transactions in QAD while supporting operational, quality, and safety objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Shipment documentation, customer/vendor returns, inventory transactions, cycle counts, and shipment scheduling.
- Maintain shipping and inventory records, customer and carrier portals, and ensure compliance with DOT, GMP, and company requirements.
- Lead daily warehouse activities, including material handling, loading/unloading, storage, labeling, inventory control, and workplace organization.
- Support process improvements that enhance safety, efficiency, and inventory accuracy.
- Provide day-to-day guidance, training, and support to warehouse and shipping personnel while helping coordinate priorities and workflow.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, safety, and continuous improvement through collaboration and effective communication.
- Maintain operational, shipping, inventory, and compliance records and reports.
- Communicate with internal teams, customers, carriers, vendors, and management regarding operational needs and shipment status.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Forklift certification required; company-sponsored certification training available for qualified candidates.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and team collaboration skills.
- Excellent organizational, administrative, and time-management abilities.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Proficiency in basic mathematics, including inventory and shipping-related calculations.
- Working knowledge of GMP, quality, environmental, and workplace safety standards.
- Basic computer proficiency, including data entry, record maintenance, and report generation.

EDUCATION / TRAINING
- High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum 5 years' supervisory experience in chemical warehouse and/or manufacturing environment of cosmetics/personal care products.
